About Rasma
I became interested in bridging the gap between conventional and alternative medicines after being a medical 'guinea pig' for the first 18 years of my life, which left me with serious fears, trust and auto-immune issues!
I started studying nutrition, herbal therapy and homeopathy for myself in 1985. This branched out into interests in music and colour therapy, energetic medicine and later Sekhem. I was working on my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, and was almost finished my dissertation, when the university went bust during the US economic crisis - I decided that I didn't need the bit of paper to validate the knowledge that I gained. I am currently working on converting my dissertation into a book - A Singers' Herbal.
Formal qualifications:
- BMus (Hons) and MMus - Vocal Performance and Musicology
- BSc (Hons) Health and Disease
- DipNut (Nutrition with Colour Therapy)
- Advanced Certificate in Quantum Biofeedback
- Indian Head Massage
- Emotional Freedom Techniques Level 1
- Alchemy of Herbal Medicine (Intermediate/Advanced)
- Sekhem Endorsed Master Teacher
Without conventional medicine I would not be here, but at the same time I believe strongly that healing must be viewed holistically, and that there is much we can do for ourselves proactively. There is a growing culture around the world of holistic medicine, and I feel that Quantum Biofeedback provides one of the most comprehensive forms of health assessment, bringing together quantum science and complementary therapy.
Sekhem has led me on a tremendous personal journey, which is continuing every single day. My training was completed through an intensive teacher-training course with Helen Belot in Scotland 2007, and I am honoured to be endorsed to teach others, and I prefer to teach by example rather than in a classroom setting. At its most basic level, Sekhem is a great tool for relaxation and stress reduction, but the ability to help people attain the intentions that will truly make a difference in their life is phenomenal and awe inspiring.
I feel privileged to be able to offer this level of health support.
